Department Of Urdu Urdu hai jiska nam use jante hain Dagh sare jahan main dhom hamari zaban ki hai Department of urdu enables students to develop communicative skills and comprehension of literary text. It enables students to critically understand and examine various literary genres of urdu language and literature and inculcate critical thinking in the student, so that they can contribute to the linguistics, creative, intellectual, social and economic development of the society. Urdu is an attractive and sweet language for most of the speakers. Different innovative methods are used for creating interest among the students and learners such as lecture method , story telling. Beside these methods comparative studies , learning outcome- based curriculum framework, interactive method are often used by the teachers in the urdu Department. Under the New Education Policy ( N. E. P.) of U. G. program prepares students for employment not only in academic institutions but also other organizations enhancing academic _ industry linkages there by. U. G. urdu program prepare students for further higher study such as Master degree or Doctoral programme in urdu for professional writing , career and for teaching urdu in school, college, university etc. Department of urdu in Ram Sakal Singh Science College has furnished atmosphere of teaching and learning environment. Continuous internal assessment of the student Department conducted class test, Mid_ term exam. It always organized verious programs such as Group discussion, Esay writing, Seminars, Moshayra, Taqreeri Moqabla for beter development of student's learning and teaching skills. Last year Department has conducted seminar on " role of non_ Muslim poets in the development of urdu poetry."
