Botany
The Department of Botany is one the oldest faculty of Ram Sakal Singh Science College. It came into existence in 1970 with the foundation of the college. The Department has well equipped laboratory with the modern instruments. The Department is enriched with learning resources such as charts, slides, model, herbarium which help the students in skill oriented and quality education. Botany Department aims to strengthening the learning and teaching process by imparting not just the best lectures but also giving students exposure to hands on practice through practical classes. The Department comprises experienced and knowledgeable faculty members specializing in various subfields of Botany such as Plant Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Taxonomy, Plant Diversity, Ecology and Environmental Science, Genetics and Plant Pathology etc. They imparting theoretical knowledge and practical skills to students. The Department also maintains a Botanical Garden and help in keeping college green by looking after the greenery in the college on the regular basis. Students with Botany Degree have innumerable opportunities in the field of Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genomics, Agroforestry, Ecology and Environmental Science and other related fields
